The main motto of "Anbu Karangal" is to take care of senior citizens and destitute orphan children and to provide shelter to them.  All basic amenities like food, clothing and medical aids are also taken care of.  Above all these, the love and affection they derive from this home which was earlier denied to them by their relatives, is what makes the lives of the inmates of our home, an experience to cherish and share their moments of joy with others.  Thus the senior citizens lead  their last part of their lives in a peaceful and contented way.  The last rites for the unexpected demise of any of the inmates is done with due respect and prayers are offered for the departed noble soul to rest in peace.

Orphans are not born, but they are made so by their relatives.  Parentless children, children tortured by their relatives are given preference in the orphanage and are taken due care.  We also provide shelter to the children of those parents living in rural areas who are economically unable to provide basic education to their off-springs.  Only after thorough enquiry and based on the genuinity of the cases, people are admitted as inmates.

The main aim of the home is not only to provide food, shelter and medical aid to these children, but to impart discipline, faith in God, teach them to respect elders and to remove the thought of an orphan from their tender mind, to enable them to become better citizens.

All the children in the home are properly educated up to standard 10th in the nearby Government School.  Students successfully completing their school studies are provided scope for higher education.  We have also plans to impart latest computer education to the students.  Students interested in the technical areas are provided with technical education to enable them to face life with confidence.  These noble activities are carried out with a service motive.  No monetary benefit or any other return is expected from them.
